The Cleveland Local AFTRA Office represents approximately 500
performers, journalists and other artists working in the entertainment
and news media. Cleveland AFTRA's Freelance Organizing Committee
(FLOC) provides conservatories and seminars which help performers
improve skills, write resumes and develop audition techniques as well
as provide opportunities for members and non-members to meet casting
directors, agents and others who hire talent. Prior courses
include: Meet The Agents, Meet The Producers, The Business of the
Business, Hot Pizza/Cold Readings. Hot Pizza/Cold Readings
is an ongoing course offered by FLOC for AFTRA members only. Call

Conservatory Outreach Department provides the community with arts
instruction and performance opportunities for students of all ages. The
program reaches over 1,500 students each year and includes over 100
faculty members and student teachers. Class instruction is open to
people of all levels from amateur to pre-professional musician. Areas
of instruction include: private lessons on all instruments and voice;
Suzuki strings; Dalcroze Eurhythmics for children; music fundamentals;
group classes in piano, voice and guitar; music technology; Honors
Chorale, an auditioned choir of students in grades 9 - 12; Youth
Orchestra Program, including three orchestras of students at all levels
of ability; New Horizons Band, including three bands for adults from
beginning to advanced; theatre classes; and dance classes.
Instruction is available with members of the Conservatory and College
faculty, Preparatory adjunct faculty and student teachers. The calendar
consists of two 15-week semesters and a summer session. Although
students are accepted all year round it is recommended that students
register at the beginning of each semester. Summer Music Programs

The lorain area summer theatre offers a youth summer theatre for
students grades 6-12. The six week program includes fun and games
as well as classes in theatre foundations of acting, dancing, singing
